About Kerr Family Funerals

Kerr Family Funerals is based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire and offer our funeral services across Herts, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, as well as North West London including areas such as Kilburn, Willesden, Edgware, Wembley, Barnet and Alperton.

Our service is personal, and we work hard to ensure that ‘Care and Quality aren’t compromised’.

We have worked closely with families and communities from a broad spectrum of society, including Roman Catholic, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Hindu, Church of England and other mainstream Christian denominations.   I can not put into words how amazing Alex is.
we sadly lost our baby girl at 15 days old, he really made an awful time 100 times easier.
The funeral service ran so smoothly and although was a dreadful day, was also an absolutely perfect day all thanks to Alex !
I can not recommend him enough, a family-run business with no time restraints or office hours to comply with to ask any questions I had which was perfect and made it that more personal.
He put so much effort in to ensure she did not look lonely and was surrounded by flowers teddies and love.

  I could not recommend Alex and his team at Kerr Family funerals highly enough.

We lost our dad unexpectedly, which was very difficult to come to terms with,  but from the moment I first spoke to Alex I felt supported and his care with Dad was next to none.

Alex was a rock to the whole family,  going over and above to help us navigate our way through the most emotional of times.

All of my dads wishes came to fruition and he had the most beautiful send off including horse drawn carriage.

Thank you again for all you did for us.

  I would like to thank Alex for taking great care of my partner. Alex is incredibly caring and compassionate and we feel lucky that we found him.

Nothing was too much effort and it was obvious that Alex genuinely cared. The experience felt very personal and he was happy to tailor his services to any of our needs. Alex also acted as the celebrant and delivered an amazing service.

  I lead a family friend’s funeral and found Alex to be not only very professional but helpful, understanding, polite and above all caring.
He directed us to get flowers from a local supplier as he said this would be cheaper!!
He also helped and guided me through my duty’s as this was only my second funeral I had conducted,, made my job much more relaxing.
He kept us informed throughout, no detail was to much for him.
We even got a call a few weeks later to ask how things were and how the deceased husband was coping.

Very impressed,,well done Alex you are a credit to your profession and a true human being.

  Alex Kerr was absolutely wonderful. Very kind caring man whom we felt an immediate ease & comfortable meeting, to talk about all the arrangements for my departed mum. As you can imagine this was a very difficult time for me & my family, and we had never arranged a funeral before so it was all so new to us. Family friends recommended other funerals parlour but it was important for my mum to have the service at her favourite and long time local parish. So glad we had chosen and found Alex family owned business. For me I’ve learnt so much from Alex. Every detail of my mums funeral arrangements was explained to us in a calm friendly manner but also keeping it very professional. Alex  never pressurised us in any way. One thing I really liked and appreciated, was the fact he made himself available at all times of the day.   Even from my first phone call with Alex I knew that the arrangements for my father’s funeral would be in safe hands. Our meeting then took place very quickly after the call, and when I met Alex in person, it was very clear to me that Alex’s professionalism would help me navigate on making difficult decisions regarding the whole funeral service.  He was always available for my calls, and having him as a direct contact throughout the whole process, I can say that Kerr Family Funerals provided what I would call a very personalized service, and one that I would highly recommend.

The funeral service went as planned, and all those who attended the funeral remarked on the sensitivity and professionalism of Alex and his team.  Even after the church service and the cremation, Alex remained in communication with me until the very end of the process.   I would not hesitate in recommending Kerr Family Funerals to anyone. Throughout the whole difficult process, Alex’s guidance and assistance, was a great help to me.

  I was recommended by a family friend to Kerr family funerals ‎as my beloved mother had  passed away over the Christmas period and was very distraught having never dealt with a funeral and was worried on not getting a early date to bury my mother and  other different requirements needed

Alex from Kerr family funerals came to my rescue and went above and beyond from start to finish with every hurdle I faced Alex was able to sort each issue and accommodate my needs. Alex was available whenever needed via phone , text and email at anytime and had such a compassionate attitude but highly professional at the same time.
Kerr families I felt were very competitive with pricing undercutting other quotes I was given and was fair and did not overprice or rip me off at any point and gave a clear breakdown and invoice of costs at every stage.

We had a short time to organise a funeral service , prayers and burial and Alex was with me at every stage and even was the celebate at the service .

Alex thoroughly emerged in understanding what specific  requirements I needed and understood my mother and that came across in the speech given at my mothers service.

Alex even called a few days later to ask how I was feeling .   I really highly recommend this funeral service and especially Alex.    A superb experience at a sad time but I truly felt Alex was my friend not my funeral director and no other director could of given me the support Alex did.
